Members of the Green Party have again selected Andy Brown to be their candidate for Skipton & Ripon constituency.

Andy has retired from a career which included being Deputy Principal at Keighley College and Director of Young People's Learning across Yorkshire and the Humber. He is passionate about protecting the environment locally and internationally and an enthusiast for a well organised well funded NHS and universal high quality education. He has been one of the leading local campaigners against inappropriate building development.

I have lived in Cononley for 20 years. I am in the Green Party because it is interested in creating a secure and sustainable economy and society. I like the fact that it is full of sincere people who care about the future of our country rather than machine politicians looking to further their careers.

Andy believes people need good secure jobs paying a decent wage and a network of reliable public services that they can trust to look after their health, their children's education and the welfare of those in need.
