Kevin Foster, North Yorkshire councillor for Hipswell and Colburn, has been selected as the Green Party candidate for mayor of the new North Yorkshire and York Combined Authority. The mayor will have powers to invest in transport, housing and skills and will also appoint a deputy to act as the police and fire and rescue service commissioner. Kevin has had thirty years experience of service in the forces and as a civil servant. He is keen to put his considerable experience to use on behalf of the people of North Yorkshire and York.
