About us

About Us

The Green Party represents people in a record number of local councils, as well as in the London Assembly.

Here in Craven we have several elected councillors.  Two Green councillors (David Noland and Andy Brown) were elected in 2022 to the new North Yorkshire Council. No Labour or LibDem councillors were elected for Craven and the other councillors are either Conservative or Independent. Our vote across Craven was second to that of the Conservatives. People also elected two Green councillors (Claire Nash and David Noland) to Skipton Town Council and a further one (Stephen Morton) was co-opted to a vacancy.

We’re working progressively on local issues; to improve the lives of all people in Craven and to improve our local environment. As part of the Green Party of England & Wales, we share a deep concern for social and environmental justice.

We rely on people power rather than corporate finance in all that we do.  Get involved with us today so that we can achieve so much more for Craven.

The Green Party Political Programme sets out what Greens are in politics to do: to end the system that keeps hurting the environment and all of us who rely on it – and to build a better alternative.

It’s a vision of a better world, and together we can deliver it. You can find our national manifesto at https://policy.greenparty.org.uk/ and we also have a local manifesto for Craven.
